One City Disability Awareness

Manchester City Football Club’s award winning community scheme City in the Community Foundation (CITC) is inviting your school to take part in our new ‘One City’ Disability Awareness programme.

The programme is designed to increase disability awareness and promote disability sports through a series of classroom and practical lessons delivered by City in the Community staff.

The programme is suitable for pupils in Year 4 or 5 and CITC is offering the new programme to primary schools in Manchester. The sessions will be delivered over 3 weeks.

Week 1             What is a disability?

How does it feel to be disabled?

Week 2             The Paralympic Games and Sports

Week 3             Disability Sports and Review

The full programme of sessions can be booked in from September 2013 and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

In order to book a place on this exciting new scheme or for more information please contact CITC’s Disability Co-Ordinator, Paul Kelly 0161 438 7834 or paul.kelly2@mcfc.co.uk
