Join an apprenticeship with City in the Community.
It is our aim and part of our responsibility to create opportunities for local people, as a result of this we launched the Apprenticeship Scheme in October 2010.
Since then, we have supported three young people as they have developed into Apprenticeship roles at MCFC. All three apprentices have progressed to become full time employees of City in the Community and are studying to complete courses in Electrical Installation (Maintenance Department), Business Administration (CITC), and Sports Development (CITC).
Conrad Prendergast, Enterprise Co-ordinator and former Apprentice Coach said, “The apprenticeship is absolutely brilliant for me, I had the chance of learning it out of a book whereas this is hands on, I can get the experience whilst I’m out on the pitch, it’s much better for me. For me to get through to the interview stages and then to get the apprenticeship is a massive achievement for me. I absolutely love it".
Alex Clifford, 19, from Clayton is now working in an administrative role with CITC having originally joined on a six-month placement. She said: “I absolutely love it, I love everything about it and I’m very grateful to the club for the chance".
