Volunteer at MCFC

During 2011, 208 different people volunteered at MCFC totalling 1919 hours, this included 42 women and 166 men.
The activities they have volunteered for include:  Match day Events, Kit Launch, FA Cup Parade, After school football coaching, Disability Football Sessions, Family Fun Day, Homeless Football Tournament, School Tournaments, Olympic Days, Refereeing, Park Projects, School Tournaments, Raise the Flag, Santa Stroll.
The level of volunteering varies considerably as some have done just one event where others have done several.
Volunteers are recruited from different areas; many contact us direct, colleges, universities, Manchester Volunteer Sports Bureau.
The benefits of this programme are: Having fun, increase future employment opportunities, improve CV, give something to the community, make new friends, learn new skills, help people and to do something with their spare time.
Another incentive they receive is offered through the Manchester Volunteer Sport Bureau, some opportunities we register on the website allow them to transfer the hours they have worked to pay for courses they might be interested in.
