Work Experience
Join the Champions for a bit of experience within a work environment and football club.
Work Experience
Manchester City Football Club believes work experience is a vital part of every young person’s life. City in the Community has developed a bespoke programme designed to give an insight into a wide range of industries contained within the Football Club.
This initiative gives students a behind the scenes look at the everyday life at a Premier League Football Club with opportunities to experience:
- Press Department,
- Human Resources,
- Box Office,
- Catering & Hospitality,
- Maintenance,
- Retail,
- City in the Community.
Giving young people the opportunity to improve and develop their interpersonal and employability skills, this is a great opportunity for any young person interested in the day to day running of a football club.
"During my work experience, I got the opportunity to see lots of departments including helping to sell tickets in the box office; accompanying the heritage department on promotion and tours, helping to organise a football session with City in the Community and helping maintenance fix lifts and hunt down missing ladders!! I was lucky enough to experience the view from the Stadium roof, which was scary at first but I soon enjoyed myself as I walked around the top of the Stadium. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed myself throughout my work experience". – Work Experience Student
