Left-winger Alex Henshall joined the Blues from Swindon Town after making two appearances on the substitutes' bench for the Robins.

The 18-year-old has revelled in the opportunity to play international football and is determined to play in the Premier League.

He made his England Under-16 debut against Wales in October 2009. Two more appearances for the Under-16s followed before he travelled to the Nordic Tournament as part of the Under-17s set-up.

Alex earned the player of the tournament award during the Academy’s pre-season trip to Oberndorf, Germany and continues to impress as a regular for City’s Under 18s.
