City on Wilcox:

Jason Wilcox took over as u18 manager in July 2013, and led his squad to North Division title glory in his first season in charge.

The former England international has a wealth of coaching experience to draw on, and has previously played a key role in the City Academy set-up as coach of the impressive u13 side which swept all before them in the 2012/13 campaign.

After spending time in City’s youth system himself as a teenager, Jason made the switch to Blackburn where he featured in an FA Youth Cup final, before making over 300 appearances for the senior team and tasting title success in 1995.

Wilcox also turned out for Leeds, Leicester and Blackpool before retiring as a player in 2006.

Now embracing the coaching side of the game, Wilcox will be hoping to lead his young side to even further success in 2014/15.
