City u18s host West Ham on Saturday looking to go seven games unbeaten.
The boy Blues have already secured their place in the end of season play-offs, but are looking to take maximum points from the three remaining games and finish as North Division Champions.
Jason Wilcox’s men took another step towards winning the division with a comprehensive 3-0 victory away to Norwich last week, after beating Wolves by the same scoreline just three days earlier.
A brace from Brandon Barker and another goal from top scorer Thierry Ambrose clipped the Canaries’ wings, and England youth international Barker will be aiming to add to his haul of four goals in his last two matches.
West Ham are chasing a play-off berth of their own and currently lie second in the Southern Division. However, the Hammers have lost their last three games on the bounce, going down to Stoke, Everton and Southern League leaders Spurs in the last few weeks.
Pablo Maffeo was fit enough for the bench in the victory over the Canaries after being sidelined for the last six weeks through injury and will be looking to make his return, while Spanish left back Angelino was a late sub for the EDS in their u21 Premier League Cup final first leg on Thursday night.
Kick off is at 11am at Platt Lane (M14 7UU). We’ll have updates on twitter as well as a full match report on mcfc.co.uk after full time.
