Micah's diary: Day 14

Lescott’s not a happy man! He’s not happy at all!

Over the last few days I’ve revealed how I’ve beaten him at basketball and toyed with him at arm wrestling and now he’s looking for a bit of payback so I’ll be watching the website carefully over the next 24 hours.

I think he was after setting up a rival diary or maybe an interview, but I can’t imagine what he’s going to talk about because as far as I’m concerned, he’s got nothing to say. “Micah beat me at this, Micah beat me at that…” – actually, I’m quite looking forward to it!

I’ve not had any feedback from De Jong so I’m taking it he’s not read my diary for the last few days – he’s probably been reading American Classic Car or something instead.

This trip has been great for team bonding as we’ve been together every waking hour and I’ve got to know some of the lads a lot better.

...Micah day 14

Back home, David Silva comes into training, goes home and that’s the last I see of him, but he’s not as quiet as I first imagined and he’s really opened up on this trip. He’s chatty and much more out-going than I first thought – he’s joining in the banter and his English is improving, too.

Gael Clichy is a great lad, as well. He’s a nice, humble guy who is quality on and off the pitch. Both he and Stefan Savic have settled in as though they’ve been part of the squad for years.

One member of the squad who everyone has really missed on this trip is Pablo Zabaleta who has been away with Argentina in the Copa America. He’s one of the nicest people you could ever meet and it’s easy to see why our fans love him because he doesn’t know how to give anything less than 100%.

I know we are in contention for the same position but I really can’t speak highly enough of Zaba and I’ll be glad to see him again when he returns to Manchester.

Well, I’m off to see some UFC cage fighters training this afternoon so better sign off for now. I’ll let you know what happened tomorrow as well as my hopes for the upcoming season.

That will be my sign-off diary as we’ll be coming home after the LA Galaxy match. Just time to play Lescott at tennis and have a bit more fun at his expense…

Take it easy,

Micah.
