Vancouver turned blue for one evening only as City came to town for the Herbalife World Football Challenge - but things were a little different for the Blues...
The hospitality shown to the Blues was warm and welcoming, but the changing rooms were basic to say the least, especially after the sumptuous surrounds the lads enjoyed at AT&T Park - not that anyone was complaining.
Then it was out to Empire Field where fireworks and flags greeted the two teams prior to kick off.
With the Blues trailing 1-0, Roberto Mancini became more active on the sidelines, reminding certain players where they needed to be. The lads heeded his words, too, gradually clawing their way back into the game.
But things would get worse before they got better as Yaya Toure went down with an ankle injury and had to be helped off the field by the physios.
Re-inforcements were required after the break with the impressive Gael Clichy adding zip and verve to the back four as City finally managed to find the net via a John Guidetti header on 68 minutes.
And there was even better to come as Shaun Wright-Phillips struck a 25-yard thunderbolt home to win the game 2-1 with just five minutes remaining.
Roberto leaves the ground happier than he might have done with only the thought of Yaya's injury on his mind. Another win, a decent work-out and a flight home to Los Angeles - things are ticking along nicely on City's summer tour.
