The Manchester Cup reaches the semi-final stage this weekend with City Ladies taking on Curzon Ashton, the highest placed opposition side left in the competition.
City reached the semi-final overcoming Middleton Athletic in a one sided contest last month.
It will be another chance for the City Reserves and youngsters to show what they can do in what is sure to be a tougher challenge this time out.
"Having played Curzon quite a few times in the last few years we know they have some good players who have experience of playing in the Women's Premier Leagues,” said City Ladies manager Leigh Wood.
“On their day they are a good match for any team.
“It will be a great test for our young squad and gives us the chance to see how they are developing.
“If we play with a good tempo and show confidence on the ball we will hopefully get the positive result we are looking for.”
The match will be played at the Reserve home of Wythenshawe Town FC, Timpson Road, M23 9NT. Kick-off is at 2pm.
