City Ladies opened their league account with a comfortable 3 - 1 home win over newly promoted Coventry City.

First half goals from striking  partners Becky Grocott after six minutes and Krystle Johnson  three minutes before the break saw them in 2 nil up at the break.

Nikki Miles hit back for the visitors a minute into the second period after a defensive lapse, but the home sky blues sealed the game with a fine Abbie McManus header with 10 minutes remaining.
