The Getting Manchester Moving project are kicking off CITC’s Easter activities with a family activity day this Saturday 27th March.
It’s a great day out for people of all ages, with loads of different activities to try out including: football, basketball, street dance, judo, tennis and table tennis. Take part in the ‘beat the goalie’ competition or have a go on the smoothie bike, using pedal power to make your own smoothie. There’ll be a bouncy castle and assault course, street art, and loads of prizes and giveaways including match tickets and footballs.
The event opens at 12pm and goes on until 3pm. Entrance is via the East Reception, and all the activities will take place in the Commonwealth Suite and on the concourse.
Getting Manchester Moving is a city-wide initiative to help make the people of Manchester make physical activity a part of everyday life, providing support and information about healthy eating and weight management.
CITC work in partnership with Manchester City Council and Manchester Public Health Development Service, with funding from the Football Foundation.
