Hundreds of children taking part in the Etihad Airways Manchester City soccer school in Beijing were treated to a surprise visit from City players.
The players joined the CITC coaches in leading some of the training sessions before posing for photographs and signing shirts.
Over the past six days about 700 local kids, many from migrant families, participated in the scheme - for some of them it was their first experience of the game.
The soccer school was supported by China Club Football who also provided some of their coaches to assist the CITC staff.
Alex Williams who worked alongside the CITC coaches was delighted to be involved.
“The kids are always looking to see what English team to support and of course coming off the back of the first Premier League trophy it's a perfect time for us to be here delivering the Etihad Soccer School," he said.
Youth Academy Director Jim Cassell said it was a privilege to be involved on behalf of the club.
"It’s been a wonderful experience and an absolute treat to be involved at grassroots level," he said. "If we can generate the interest and enthusiasm here, it can only be good for the relationship with Manchester City and for the game in China.”
