Matchday team a winner

If you’ve attended one of our recent home matches, it’s highly likely that you’ll have seen members of our new, 30-strong matchday supporter services team outside the stadium.

The team was assembled from more than 100 applicants who responded to an advert on the Club website back in August.  The team commenced their duties prior to the visit of Fulham in October following three weeks of interactive training and though they will be primarily responsible for dealing with ticket related queries, the team are also there to respond to any queries from supporters may have on the day.

“It’s been amazing to see how quickly the team have settled into their roles,” said Danny Wilson, Head of Supporter Experience.

The fact they are already City fans who know their way around the stadium is an advantage

"They are thoroughly enjoying being part of the Club during these exciting times and being Mancunians, the rain at the recent matches certainly hasn’t dampened their enthusiasm. We’ve already received some really positive feedback from supporters. As each game goes by, the team will get better and better.”

Trevor Hughes, a lifelong Blue, has taken on the role of Matchday Supervisor and he’s enjoying a different perspective on matchdays.

He said: “Having followed the Blues for more than 22 years, it’s fantastic to have the opportunity to be involved in the matchday operations. I get a real buzz from knowing that I’m helping fellow City supporters, too.”

City are now looking to appoint a number of Matchday Greeters to work outside the Ticket Office. If you are interested, send your CV and a covering letter to jobs@mcfc.co.uk quoting reference DW/023-09122009

Closing date for applications is December 9, 2009
