Kit launch kicks off on a high note

The brand new Umbro City shirts are finally here and the Club is making it a kit launch to remember with a great weekend at the City of Manchester Stadium.
The big kick-off comes tonight at 5pm with Live from City - a musical extravaganza in the east car park at the Stadium with top dj Mike Pickering, Kickz, The Answering Machine, Twisted Wheel, Kid British and top-of-the-bill band Doves. Who needs Glastonbury?
It promises to be one of the concerts of the summer for the 5,000 fans who received complimentary tickets to the gig when they pre-ordered a new shirt - and don't forget to bring the tickets when you set off!
Then tomorrow supporters are invited back to CoMS to enjoy a big-screen live presentation of the opening match in the Vodacom Challenge in South Africa between Mark Hughes' men and Orlando Pirates in Polokwane.
Saturday's game kicks off at 2pm but the family fun starts as early as 10.30am so the kids can get their faces painted and everybody can enjoy the barbecue (Under-14s should be accompanied by an adult on both days).
And Saturday also sees the much-anticipated grand opening at 9am of the new-look state-of-the-art City Store, which unfortunately will be closed on Friday in preparation for tomorrow’s kit launch. It will be well worth a nosey while enjoying the build-up to that first view of manager Hughes' Blues this season.
Parking for both events will be on the East Stand car park, at gate 3, off Alan Turing Way.
Remember to allow extra time for the major roadworks on the A662 which are likely to affect traffic.
