Gareth Barry and Stuart Taylor spent an evening meeting and greeting fans in the third player-attended supporters club meeting of 2010.
Friends since their time at Villa, the pair teamed up again at St Crispin’s Social Club in Fallowfield to take part in the Brooks Bar meeting, who had joined up with the Rusholme and Moss Side branch for the evening.
The meeting kicked off with a signing session for two of the last year's summer recruits, followed by questions from club members for the pair to answer.
Gareth and Stuart were joined at the top table by Brooks Bar chairman Tony McIntosh.
“It’s fantastic that the Club have started bringing players out again,” said Tony.
“We’ve got a four-year-old sat next to an eighty-four-year-old here tonight, and these visits mean so much to all our members. It’s a great opportunity to meet their heroes and ask those questions they’ve always wanted to ask.”
Brooks Bar is the oldest of all the OSC branches, celebrating its 60th anniversary last year. Its longest serving member, George Dutton, has been a member since it's foundation in 1949. As part of the OSC anniversary celebrations, George received a special award for his long service.
Another familiar face on the night was City legend and branch president Tony Book.
Previously, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Javier Garrido were received at Reddish, whilst Vincent Kompany and Dedryck Boyata dropped in at Baguley and Brooklands.
