A weekly round-up of the best things we’ve seen on the club’s official social networks.
Welcome to a new, regular piece on MCFC.co.uk where we highlight the pick of the fan produced content on the official MCFC Facebook page, Twitter feed and Flickr group.
With our Flickr Photo of the Day series now in full swing, the pick of this week’s fan photos submitted into the official MCFC Flickr group include:
This great shot of City fans showing off their inflatable bananas in the stands at Bournemouth in the 1980s taken, of course, by ‘Man City Banana’. Maybe they’re due for a return?
Spare a thought on a matchday for ‘leemcilwaine’ and the other supporters on the East Stand when the MCFC banner gets passed along. This is their view of the players coming out!
This great shot of two young Blues taken by ‘DASc0tt’ really gets you in the mood for the sunshine-drenched games towards the tail end of the season.
And last but not least, the arty and provocative shot of the neon lights outside the stadium (top of the page) taken by ‘notFlunky’.
As ever, thank you for your photos and keep your eyes peeled for the first Photo of the Month competition coming soon!
Over on Twitter, we’ve had lots of fun with the latest photo competition. This week we asked our Twitter followers to suggest which City player they thought these hands belonged to.
‘Hands’ was a major clue and of course it was our number 1, Shay Given. Clare Williams from Handforth (a brilliant coincidence!) guessed correctly and bagged herself some City Store vouchers.
@Mcfc also followed Nigel de Jong around the stadium whilst our Dutch international was helping out and giving advice to some young entrepreneurs through the Places for Players scheme.
On the MCFC official fan page on Facebook, suggestions for the next Umbro Playlist for the visit of Everton on the 24th March have been coming in thick and fast. Our Facebook friends have also been enjoying their own exclusive videos including an interview with our Swedish starlet, John Guidetti and the players giving their opinions on what’s better; ski holidays or beach holidays.
All you need to do to be involved in MCFC and social media is to join one of our networks and get debating and creating!
