It’s been a week of practical jokes, Maine Road memories and cleverly presented bread this week on the club’s official social media presences!
This photo, aptly posted on the official MCFC flickr group by ‘ett_photography’ and yesterday’s featured photo of the day, was taken almost 15 years ago to the day on Easter weekend 1995 when the Blues beat Liverpool 2-1 at Maine Road thanks to goals from Nicky Summerbee and a stunning header from Maurizio Gaudino.
This equally stunning shot of CoMS taken from Manchester’s Northern Quarter was submitted by ‘jonah19’.
Please keep adding your photos to the group and they may be featured!
Over on Twitter, we regularly receive messages about what goes on behind the scenes at the club but @mainestander’s interest into what is served up for the hungry journalists in the Media Lounge pre-game took levels of intrigue up another level. Not only is it one of the most comfortable press areas in the country but we think it’s the only place in the world that serves... wait for it... bread on a stick:
The MCFC fan page on Facebook has, as ever, been providing fans with exclusive content all this week. For example, this compilation of City fans doing what they do best really gets you in the mood for tomorrow’s trip to Burnley.
And of course, our infamous mole-related April Fools prank had many a fan on Facebook believing that the forthcoming home fixture against Birmingham was in serious doubt.
I’m travelling from Norway to see City play Birmingham. My heart stopped for a moment! Terrible joke. Terrible :-)

There’s also a pair of tickets to City’s clash with Alex McLeish men on Aprill 11th up for grabs with the Umbro Playlist. All you need to do is submit your tunes on Facebook and they might get selected.
The club also launched a new social media presence on Google Buzz this week so now it’s even easier to keep in touch with us!
