As the club continues to look at ways of reducing waiting times at the stadium kiosks we are introducing a new queue management system starting with the visit of Juventus.
This will start at kiosks M24, M22 and M18 and will enable us to manage queues around pinch point areas by moving the supporters to quieter kiosks thus reducing waiting times and increasing service times.
We will, however, rely on the supporters’ co-operation with this trial. We would ask that they be prepared to move to kiosks they wouldn’t normally use.
We have also recently installed service point signs above each order point and fan co-operation is requested by queuing at these points to place oders, this will allow the staff to easily identify the next customer in line and will also help reduce service times.
For the all Europa League fixtures meatball wraps, chicken tikka wraps, hotdogs and a 30% larger City Pie will be available from all bars. This is an attempt to ease the pressure on the food bars and improve service.
In City Square, the Bluemoon Cafe will be open from 5pm on Thursday for the visit of Juventus with the Chef’s special being a French stick style pizza.
The bars will also be open from 5pm until 7.30pm and reopen at the final whistle for 45mins. We also have a wide selection of food products available at the bars.
Looking ahead to the weekend, the Highways Agency are demolishing a bridge over the M56 at junction 7 (Bowdon near Altrincham) this weekend.
The time table for this work has just been confirmed. This part of the M56 will be totally closed from 2200hrs on Friday evening, October 1 until 0500hrs on Monday, October 4. This route is the way most people wishing to travel towards Birmingham on the M6 from south or east Manchester would normally use.
The total closure of the M56 between junctions 6 and 8 means that traffic wishing to travel on the M6 towards Birmingham should use the M62 to access the M6 and not the M56.
Tickets for Newcastle and Juventus are still available, buy online at www.mcfc.co.uk/tickets (no booking fee online)
