Kick the season off in City Square

  • 12 August 2011 13:35

City Square is still the only place to be ahead of kick off on match day at the Etihad Stadium, and there are lots more reasons to drop by when the season kicks off on Monday night.

Natalie Pike will add a touch of glamour to proceedings on the City Square stage alongside Hugh Ferris, and Fanzone Danny will be roaming among the crowd for match predictions and questions for our star guests.

Fan favourite Paul Lake will be on stage to talk about his career and his recently published autobiography "I'm not really here". 2003 Rugby World Cup winner, TV pundit and lifelong Blue Will Greenwood will also be on hand as the clock counts down to the start of the season.

The arrival of the team, a quick chat with Roberto Mancini and the announcement of the team sheets from the tunnel will be shown up on the big screens, which will also feature lots of vintage City clips and a look back at the summer tour.

The Blue Moon cafe and the Summerbee Bar will be open from 5pm, and the City Square entertainment, including the return of the CITC inflatables, will kick off at 6pm. Tickets are available on general sale, so don't miss out - call 0161 444 1894 option 1 or go online.

It's sure to be a great start to an exciting season for City - where else would you want to be?
