City SoundWave, launched with our partners at Key 103, is back as one of the highlights of Live From City Square for the Barclays Premier League clash with Newcastle on Saturday.
Congratulations to our first-round winners Where’s Strutter, who go through thanks to your votes - and now for another head-to-head between two more selected Manchester bands.
The Blind Leading The Blind and The Last Party will each play one of their own tunes plus a cover of Blue Moon onstage in City Square, and you’ll be able to vote for your favourite online later.
The overall winning band at the end of the competition will play at the Key 103 Summertime Ball.
If you are an unsigned band or artist from Greater Manchester, you too can perform at a packed City Square, the Blues' brilliant entertainment fan zone. To enter go to key103.co.uk/city-soundwave.
The Last Party - Liam, Greg, Adam and Daniel - met at the Apollo last year and "hatched a plan to craft songs which would soundtrack The last party on earth." They've been gaining a live reputation ever since.
It's not only the latest fab instalment of City SoundWave that makes City Square a must before Mancini's men meet the Magpies
There's a cracking "guess the balls" competition with Jaguar that could see you pitchside at half time with a chance to win the use of a Jag for a week.
And don't forget that - apart from all the usual pre-match fun - former Blues hero Dennis Tueart will be switching on the Christmas Lights in City Square before the big game.
We know you haven't forgotten about Santa Stroll - more than 500 of you have already signed up for our famous charity event on 4 December, when Roberto will kick-off proceedings.
