City Square will get that Christmas feeling this weekend when the festive lights are switched on ahead of the visit of Newcastle United.
And doing the honours will be son of the north-east and City playing legend Dennis Tueart.
Prior to illuminating the Etihad Stadium surrounds Dennis, who also served on the board at the Club, will be upstairs in the CityStore from 12.30pm where he will be signing copies of his recently published autobiography the proceeds from which will help The Christie Hospital in Manchester.
There will be plenty of other action in City Square on Saturday, including competitions and music, so keep visiting us later in the week to find out ‘what’s on’.
One definite date for the diary is the trip to Napoli on Tuesday, 22 November a game that could decide the Blues Uefa Champions League fate for this season.
The game will be screened live in City Square and tickets are now on sale. So hurry and claim your place. Those who attended the screening of the FA Cup final and the recent 6-1 demolition derby will attest to the exciting atmosphere of the big screen action.
Remember there are no telephone sales for the Napoli screening but you can buy online and there will be refreshments on sale on the night – fans will not be allowed to bring their own food and drink.
