Derby delight for Blues around the world!
"We all know that on paper 3 points was all that was really achieved yesterday and a bit of GD. But it is the things that can't be quantified that truly matter. The belief and confidence within the city squad has never been stronger. The knowledge that years of poor results and depressing performances at Old Trafford (apart from the Anniversary win) have been eclipsed by the yesterday's demolition. More importantly though is the ability to walk the streets of Manchester with heads held high knowing that this was not a lucky win it was the destruction of the premier league champions on their own turf.
I also for just a second allowed myself to look forward to May with a little voice in my head saying 'Maybe, just maybe?' (Dave Carroll)
That was by far one of the best games of football I've seen!! Loved every minute of it! You better believe I'll be proudly wearing my kit today - my campus is full of Man U fans. City til I die!
(Joe, Washington DC)
"This match has quite possibly been the best football match I have watched in my 16 years, and I'm sure my Dad has never seen a match like this in his 49! Absolutely incredible. The emotions that were running through my head were astounding, I never knew I could feel so many emotions at once. I was nervous, happy, excited and well at the end, ecstatic! Brilliant, just brilliant, well done lads! We love you." (Gem)
"Hearing about the "Massacre at Old Trafford" after my daughter's Baptism, reminded me of that scene at the end of The Godfather where Michael is at the church, and his people are dismantling the other families.
Do I renounce the Red Devils and all their works? I do renounce them. Come on City!" (Erick, City fan from Canada)
I keep waiting for the point where I wake up and it's all been a dream! It feels surreal - exceptional team performance. Silva yet again showed his class and Milner was superb. Balotelli seems to be finally reaching the potential that we all know he's capable of.
25 points out of a possible 27 is simply amazing. What an emphatic win it was! Credit goes to each and every player and the Manager. No City fan can ever forget this day!
"Absolutely amazing! Still can't believe it! When it was 3-1 at 90 minutes, I thought I could finally go to the toilet after waiting a majority of the second half, on my way up the stairs my dad’s screaming and jumping made me leg it back down to a 4-1 score, then again for 5-1 and 6-1! And the atmosphere in the pub after that was absolutely incredible! Well deserved win, great game! Great day! CTID!" (Martin Nelson)
