Manchester City and Sport Relief’s new charity partnership, entitled Shoot for the Moon, officially kicks off today with the launch of the Club’s annual Santa Stroll on December 4.
The 2.5km Stroll through the walkways of the Etihad Stadium is a centrepiece of festive fun for all the family, with a host of activities based in City Square.
More ambitious runners won’t be left out as there’s a 5km Santa Dash through the Stadium and around the Etihad Campus, starting and finishing in the Square.
The Etihad Campus will be open for the family fun day from 10am and the race start times will be announced in the near future.
Entry to the Stroll costs £15 for adults and £12 for children, including the exclusive sky blue Santa suit, a race number, medal and a goodie bag upon completion.
Last year nearly 1,000 people donned a sky blue Santa suit and walked or ran the 4km course around the Etihad Stadium. Every single penny raised from the Santa Dash will be spent on projects supporting vulnerable young people in the Manchester region.
Shoot for the Moon is the brand new fundraising partnership between Manchester City and Sport Relief, raising money to support young people and families in East Manchester.
Over the next few months the partnership will announce a series of exciting fundraising events, giving fans the opportunity to experience top class comedy, see City Legends back in action and play golf with the stars, all whilst raising money for a fantastic cause.
