Paddy Power specials: City v WBA

Despite Sunderland bringing to an end our unblemished Premier League home record and West Brom’s strong away form, the Blues are long odds-on with Paddy Power to win Wednesday night’s contest.

City are priced up at 2/7 to collect all three points and that isn’t surprising considering a run that has seen us score three or more goals in five of the last seven games on home soil.

Looking at the handicap betting may be a way to generate more of a profit. Punters can back City -1 goal at 8/11 or City -2 goals at 15/8 with Paddy Power. A scoreline of 3-0 at 7/1 would cover both options.

West Brom come in to this game with a solid away record of six wins, four draws and six defeats from their 16 away games. Roy Hodgson has the Baggies playing as a solid unit and they have picked up some unexpected points this season, including holding City to a 0-0 draw at the Hawthorns back in late December.

And West Brom have proved to be something of a bogey team in recent years. Of the last 14 games the two clubs have played, West Brom have won six times and managed another four draws.

But that doesn’t stop Blues players being dominant in the first goal scorer market.

Sergio Aguero remains City’s most potent threat with 24 goals in all competitions this season. The Argentine striker is 3/1 to score the first goal and 8/13 to score anytime. His compatriot Carlos Tevez is 7/2 to score the last goal.
