Super League is coming to City! The exciting 13-a-side code's star-studded Magic Weekend is being staged at the Etihad Stadium for the first time in May.

City fans can enjoy an end-of-season treat alongside rugby league aficionados as some of the Stobart Super League's most famous names collide at the Etihad on 26 and 27 May.

The full round of league fixtures will showcase some of the biggest derby battles in British sport during two days of compelling sporting action.

Saturday’s action begins with Castleford Tigers facing neighbours Wakefield Trinity Wildcats before Super League newcomers Widnes Vikings renew their fierce rivalry with Warrington Wolves.

The opening day’s action climaxes with the Humberside derby, Hull FC v Hull Kingston Rovers.

Sunday's menu kicks off with the tastiest of lunchtime starters as Catalan Dragons and London Broncos clash in an Anglo-French tie followed by Huddersfield Giants versus Salford City Reds.

The penultimate game of the Round 15 card sees Bradford Bulls and Leeds Rhinos go head-to-head before St Helens and Wigan Warriors reprise their 2010 Grand Final in the finale.

“The Magic Weekend has provided some of the highlights of the Super League season in recent years and fans can expect another thrilling and memorable two days of action at Etihad Stadium,” said Super League Chief Executive Nigel Wood.

“There are some fantastic matches in store and I’m sure we're going to see some bumper crowds as Super League builds on the success of Magic Weekends at Murrayfield and Millennium Stadium.”
