We are on the lookout for the most exciting unsigned musical talent to be part of a ground-breaking new app.

Music and football are Manchester’s most famous cultural exports and CityBeats will combine them both in a unique and dynamic way.

The free CityBeats app for iPad and iPhone, released on 11 July and produced by soniqplay, will allow fans to create and share remixes of the best new music – essentially putting the user at the controls in the recording studio – as well as the opportunity to win fantastic prizes.

The first ten acts to be featured on the app have been hand picked by Manchester music legend Mike Pickering and will be announced in due course along with details of the first remix competition.

Submissions will remain open for the next batch of bands and artists who would like to have their music featured on CityBeats. For consideration, share your best track via our Soundcloud Dropbox – mp3s are preferred. Make sure you include contact details.

If your music gets on CityBeats, we will need access to the individual tracks/stems of your song (drums, guitar, bass, vocals etc) so please ensure you can provide these when submitting.
