Join former Blue Terry Phelan in BT City Square ahead of the Chelsea cup clash.
Terry made over 100 appearances in a City shirt before spending two years with Chelsea in the 1990s, so he’ll have plenty to say about both clubs ahead of the 5.15pm kick off.
He’ll be joined on stage by award-winning comedian Dave Spikey. Born in Lancashire, Dave co-wrote and starred in Pheonix Nights alongside Peter Kay, has been nominated for a BAFTA and performed to sell-out audiences on his acclaimed national tours.
He’s sure to get you laughing, so make sure you get down early to catch his appearance!
City have been a vocal supporter of Wythenshawe Amateurs and their bid to win £100,000 from the Football Association. The prize would allow the local side to build their own clubhouse as well as improve playing facilities, and they’ll be on hand to explain all about their quest.
As always, we’ve laid on some fantastic live music to get you in the mood for the big match. The Ordinary, an alternative rock band from Stockport, will be performing – and their high energy, unforgettable live shows make this a set you won’t want to miss!
Singer songwriter Daisy Day will also be getting you warmed up for the game with her unique urban pop and RnB sound. Her debut EP, Control Freak, is due to be released next month.
If all that wasn’t enough, we’ll be scouring BT City Square to find contestants for our halftime crossbar competition. The prize is two tickets for the Capital One Cup final – so if you fancy being at Wembley to watch the Blues take on Sunderland, make sure you get to the stadium early and keep a look out for us…
Don’t forget to head over to West Reception for interviews with City legends and a first team player, as well as your chance to win City v Barcelona scarves.
It’s sure to be another exciting Etihad occasion, so make sure you get down to the stadium early to take advantage of everything on offer!
