Join former City heroes in BT City Square ahead of the Stoke clash!
Joe Corrigan, Alex Williams, Ian Brightwell, Andy Morrison and Richard Edghill will all be on stage ahead of kick off to talk City and explain why they are supporting our charity initiative, Velocity. So why not come down and say hello?
As well as stars of the past, City’s stars of the future will be on hand to chat about a fantastic season for the under-18s.
Manager Jason Wilcox will be joined by Kean Bryan, Brandon Barker and Ashley Smith-Brown who will all be hoping to be involved with Patrick Vieira’s under-19 squad, who travel to Madrid on Wednesday seeking glory in the inaugural UEFA Youth League competition.
The under-19s came through a tricky group stage to set up a last 16 tie with Atletico, while the under-18s are top of the league as City’s Academy continues to grow in strength.
As well as all that, we’ve got our usual selection of live bands to entertain you before the big game. Five-piece guitar band Section 60 will be live on stage with their fantastic set, as well as Manchester-based rock band Freerunner.
City are proudly supporting local side Wythenshawe Amateurs in their bid to win a national competition and receive enough money to build a clubhouse and improve playing facilities. Reps from the club will be available to chat about why they would be worthy winners – so listen to what they have to say and don’t forget to vote!
Keep a look out for two Zombies circling BT City Square to let you know all about the new game from EA SPORTS, Plants V Zombies.
Plus, if you fancy heading to Wembley to watch City take on Sunderland in the Capital One Cup final make sure you get down early because we’ll be looking for participants for our half time competition. You’ll also have the chance to win a scarf and tour passes, with a trip to Wembley the top prize.
Don’t forget to head round to West Reception for your chance to win a Capital One Cup t-shirt, as well as hearing from former City players Peter Barnes and Fred Eyre, and a current first teamer as they make their way into the stadium.
It’s all set to make for a fantastic atmosphere inside and outside the Etihad, so make sure you come down early so you don’t miss out!
