We are delighted to announce the content signing of the summer with news that legendary former Kit Manager Les Chapman has joined the Blues’ in-house media team.

'Chappy', who retired from first-team duty after more than 20 years' service for the Club, will join presenters Kelly O'Donnell and Nicola McCarthy to provide exclusive content for CityTV.

With a close bond to the players and management, expect even more revealing interviews and off-beat features with Chappy's own brand of unique humour opening up a whole new area for CityTV.

Chappy has gained a cult following over the years with City fans and is keen to show his creative genius and people skills in the coming months.

Expect to see the players in a completely different light and Chappy can’t wait to get going.

"We are genuinely excited to welcome Les to our team.  He will add a whole new level of insight to our already tip-top coverage," said Chris Bailey, Head of Content.

"As he often reminds us, before his re-incarnation as a kit man, he played nearly 800 games as a professional and has also been a coach and a manager. Les is therefore well-placed to offer a unique understanding on life at City. We couldn't wait to sign him up.

"Of course, he also brings his zany sense of humour to the team and his great relationships with players and managers past and present will help us take our fans even closer to the heart of the Club and what makes professionals tick.

"Les will tracking down familiar and not-so-familiar faces from the past, we will be asking you to 'Challenge Chappy' and he will also inject his own take on post-match interviews and the odd Twitter commentary. All in all, we couldn't be more thrilled to have him on the team."
