Nothing has reflected the City fans’ unique and infectious sense of humour quite like the Poznan and Alan have this season - until now.

Meet the real star of Saturday’s West Bromwich Albion match - Mavis ‘the Grandma’ Goddard.

Mavis’ image flashed up onto the big screens during City’s 3-0 victory against the Albion at the City of Manchester Stadium. Upon spotting herself being beamed around the ground, her mixed reaction of both horror and delight immediately endeared her to the City thousands.

Both Blues and Baggies fans began to direct jovial chants towards Mavis, who has a season-ticket in the East Stand, and Citytv cameras continued to sporadically flash her face up on the screens. ‘Grandma’ was even spotted doing the Poznan after Carlos Tevez had completed his hat-trick!
