City's Under-18s drew 0-0 against a well-organised Bolton Wanderers at Platt Lane, despite enjoying plenty of possession.
Though the Blues were largely the better team, Bolton, who appeared more intent on avoiding defeat rather than winning the game, improved as the game went on and a draw was probably a fair relection on the game overall.
The Under-18s next travel to face Manchester United in the Academy derby next weekend.
