Albert Rusnak was the man on the spot as City's Under 18s ground out a 1-0 win away to West Brom.
The Slovakian playmaker had played through the pain of a dislocated finger in last week's derby win at Platt Lane, and his penalty midway through the first half was enough to give the young Blues all three points.
A foul on captain Adam Drury gave Rusnak the chance to put City ahead, but they could have been further ahead at the break after giving an excellent first half display.
It was a case of showing resolve in the second half as the hosts hit back but City held firm to take their second successive win. Adam Sadler's side are back in action at home to Sheffield Wednesday next Saturday at 11am.
