Looking back through the history books for the events, signings and memorable matches that happened on this day in City’s history.
Saturday 13th December 2008
Mark Hughes’ City concede a 90th-minute goal as Tim Cahill steals all three points for Everton.
The 1-0 City of Manchester Stadium loss leaves the Blues two points clear of the relegation zone and raises questions about Hughes’ ability to lead City to the next level.
Everton, meanwhile, remain a jinx team for the Blues who just can’t seem to get the better of David Moyes’ hard-working side.
Saturday 13th December 1980
New signing Phil Boyer scores on his City debut as the Blues lose 2-1 away to Spurs.
Boyer cost £225,000 from Southampton but he fails to make an impact at Maine Road.
