Looking back through the history books for the events, signings and memorable matches that happened on this day in City’s history.

Saturday 7 November 1987

City hit Malcolm MacDonald’s Huddersfield Town 10-1 at Maine Road after a stunning display. Neil McNab opens the scoring from the penalty spot after the Terriers had dominated the opening 20 minutes, but by the break, City are 4-0 up. The Blues add another five to lead by nine goals before former City defender Andy May pulls one back from the spot in the 88th-minute.

There is still time for David White to burst through in and one-on-one situation, he drills the ball home to complete his hat-trick with almost the last kick of the game to send the City fans wild. Tony Adcock and Paul Stewart also score three times on an unforgettable day.
