A crowd of 23,936 gathers at Maine Road to pay tribute to perhaps the club’s greatest ever player, Colin Bell. The City legend had finally given up on ever returning to his very best following a serious knee injury, despite several years of battling against the odds, and a Combined City and United beat a Combined Liverpool and Everton 2-1.
