City News feed explained

What is a feed?

RSS is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines or podcasts. RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with their favourite websites in an automated manner that's easier than checking them manually. This news feed allows you to see when we have added new stories on mcfc.co.uk.

To receive an RSS feed you need a news reader. This is a piece of software that checks the feeds and and lets you read any new articles that have been added. To subscribe to a feed you can enter the feed's link into the reader or click an RSS icon in a browser that initiates the subscription process. The reader then checks your subscribed feeds regularly for new content, downloading any updates that it finds.
