Young City defender Kieran Trippier has gone on a second loan to Championship side Barnsley.

The full back, who featured in the Blues summer tour to the USA, will stay at the Tykes for six months.

Nineteen-year-old Trippier spent a period with Barnsley last season which was cut short due to injury. He joins a growing list of young players, including Gunnar Nielsen, Ryan McGivern, David Ball and Adam Clayton, that the Blues have sent out to gain more experience.
