James Milner has picked up his first Etihad Player of the Month Award after winning the November poll by a margin of almost 200 votes.

Milner, who has been outstanding all season, contributed with several assists and at least two man-of-the-match awards last month, before being rested for the 5-1 win over Norwich City.

It's the first time the England midfielder has scooped the prize and is further testament of the growing appreciation of the former Aston Villa star's industry and value to the team.

Joe Hart was the runner-up, with Yaya Toure third, last month's winner Mario Balotelli fourth and Sergio Aguero fifth.

Out of all the people who voted for Milner, Alan Norbury's name was selected at random as the winning entry and he will present James with the award in person at Carrington.

Watch out for the December Etihad Player of the Month award when voting opens towards the end of the month.
