Joe Hart is not taking anything for granted as he bids to add more medals to his growing collection.

The Blues keeper, who earned rave reviews in the Euros, says he’s now ready to get back down to business.

“Time rolls on but it’s nice to be back and see some familiar faces and a few new people,” he said.

“Last season feels like ages ago, the Euros do too and now we’ve got a new start, a new season.”

Hart’s 17 clean sheets last season went a long way to securing the first title in 44 years, but as ever he says his first job this pre-season is catching the manager’s eye.

“It’s time to start again, to keep my place and to keep doing well. We all know what we have to do now, so we just come in and get on with it,” he explained.

The 25-year-old, who will trade his no.25 shirt for the No.1 jersey next season, has had a busy summer but says he’s glad to be back among familiar surroundings.

“I haven’t really been home since the last game of the season and then there was the tournament in Poland and Ukraine,” he said.

“It’s good to be back, I like football, so it’s a nice job to be in!”

Although Joe is thoroughly enjoying being a Premier League champion, he insists he is certainly not going to rest on his laurels.

“There’s always pressure here, that’s the whole part of being here, because we’re good and people expect us to do well, so we need to do that,” he concluded.

“We want to repeat last season for the fans, for ourselves and for everyone at the club.”
