A bit of this, a bit of that

International breaks usually bring a right old mixed bag of topics up in the papers, and this weekend proves no exception to the rule.
The News of the World trumpets a Craig Bellamy exclusive, but closer inspection reveals that Neil Ashton's article, generally a very fair assessment of the Welshman's impact since arriving here, is actually fleshed out with some old quotes from Mark Hughes. Most of them appeared on this web site in the past, so at least the search engine facility appears to be working. Neil also manages to slip in a bit of transfer speculation in right at the end, mentioning Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic, a name that also crops up in the Sunday Mirror.
The Sunday edition of the Daily Star throws the name of Everton's Steven Pienaar into the mix, while back at the NotW we have reportedly agreed a big fee for Benfica's AngelDi Maria.
The recent Robinho conjecture gets another airing in most of the papers, but there's nothing to surprise anyone in rehashes of what's already been published. Kolo Toure pops up in the Sunday Express, with the quotes used being ones that first appeared on this web site nearly a week ago. The skipper also gets a mention in The Observer, who flag up his and Emmanuel Adebayor's likely absence at the African Cup of Nations in January.
