Find us keepers!

It is all about ‘find us keepers’ in the papers this morning.

The Guardian reminds those that hadn’t heard yet that former boss Mark Hughes would quite fancy taking Shay Given on loan to Craven Cottage should Mark Schwarzer move across the capital to Arsenal.

And the other publications are not slow to jump on who might attempt to fill the void if Given is allowed to leave before the transfer window closes tomorrow.

The Express, Sun and Mirror all reckon that Stoke City’s Asmir Begovic could be heading to CoMs - or Chelsea or Fulham-  if anyone is willing to stump up £7million which is, according to the Sun and the Mirror, the asking price.

The Mail, however, and somewhat confusingly the Mirror – who are obviously hedging their bets – both reckon it is Watford’s Scott Loach who is interesting Mancini. The 22-year-old was recently in the England squad for the friendly against Hungary.

The ‘Tevez miss’  naturally gets plenty of coverage both editorially and pictorially in all the papers and so does the fact that six City players are in the England squad for the Euro qualifiers.

Finally columnist Tony Cascarino in the Times admits that he has had some stick from City fans over his recent views on the club but says firmly that he ‘loves the fact that City are serious challengers’.
