After Fabio Capello’s dramatic fall in popularity, a nation expects a major overhaul of the side for the Euro 2012 championships and the inclusion of younger, hungrier players.

You only have to look to Germany to see what can happen if you take a risk - Thomas Müller had the same number of caps as Adam Johnson before leaving for South Africa. It leaves you thinking "what if?"

The Daily Express reports that Fabio spent yesterday mulling things over and at the top of his agenda are the names Joe Hart and Adam Johnson, who he apparently intends to include in his next squad.

Matt Law writes: "Having been given a stay of execution until Euro 2012, Capello returned to work as England boss and met Club England members Sir Dave Richards, Sir Trevor Brooking and Adrian Bevington.”

He continues: “High on the agenda were the players he wants to bring into the England squad, with Manchester City duo Joe Hart and Adam Johnson set to get an immediate opportunity.”

The Daily Star meanwhile continues to run the story linking City’s player with the longest unbroken service for the club, Nedum Onuoha, to Sunderland.

They reckon: “(Steve) Bruce hopes to land Manchester City defender Nedum Onouha, having given up on Germany ace Heiko Westermann.”

Another academy graduate, Stephen Ireland is linked to Sunderland with the Mirror's Alan Nixon claiming that City officials want to slap a £10m tag on the 23-year-old.

He reports: “Manchester City want a stunning £10million for Stephen Ireland – as Steve Bruce’s Sunderland make a move for the former Ireland midfielder. Bruce is keen on Ireland to fill the gap left by Lorik Cana’s move to Galatasaray.”

Finally, one Robson de Souza has been linked with a move to Ukraine in Mailman Colin Young’s column.

He says: “Shakhtar Donetsk’s billionaire owner Rinat Akhmetov has confirmed he is keen on Manchester City outcast Robinho. Sportsmail revealed the Ukrainian club were considering a £20million bid for the Brazil forward.”
