City for the title? Well naturally, manager Roberto Mancini and his squad of players have their hopes, ambitions and growing convictions. As does Harry Redknapp.
Er, sorry? No, that's right, Tottenham boss 'Arry has confided to the Press pack currently sweltering in New York for pre-season games that he expects great things from the Blues.
While Roberto was telling one group of English reporters that City won't be paying over the odds for his targets, Redknapp was turning up the heat at yet another gathering.
As Laura Williamson reports him in the Mail: "It is only a mattter of time until City win the Premier League. The ability to bring in top, top players gives you that extra yard."
No pressure there then, Roberto. And talking of top, top players, the Spurs boss is eyeing the chance of a cheeky loan deal for Craig Bellamy, according to the Mail's Screamer column.
He is making "an audacious bid" for 31-year-old Bellers, says Simon Jones, who adds: "Redknapp has admired the Welshman for some time, but Tottenham are reluctant to pay big money."
Jonesy, who expects Lazio left-back Aleksander Kolarov to finalise a move to City soon, reckons "Redknapp will try to take (Bellamy) on loan first - hoping City see it as a quick solution."
Over at the Mirror, James Nursey says James Milner has been "priced out of a move to Manchester City" after Aston Villa "refused to drop their £30m price tag" on the player.
He adds that "the deadlock has surprised Villa, who had banked on the cash". Somebody just hasn't been listening, Roberto. You might have to say it a few times ...
