By the time we get around to actually playing a football match again, over a fortnight will have elapsed since that superb win at Stamford Bridge, which means there's not a huge amount of City news being generated right now.

But fear not, there's always space for more names to be linked with the Blues, especially on a relatively quiet news day.

Firstly there's Andrea Poli, a 20-year-old midfielder plying his trade with Sampdoria. In a brief snippet, The Mail say that the Italian Under 21 international has impressed City's scouts on recent viewings, and in a completely unrelated link they report that Emmanuel Adebayor insists that he's happy at City.

We're also linked by the Mirror to Portuguese defender Daniel Carrico, he's a year older than Poli, also an Under 21 and has allegedly caught the attention of City spies while on duty with Sporting Lisbon.
