There are a few old favourites but also a couple of new rumours circulating in today’s press.
The Guardian reports that Turkish side Bursaspor are hoping to sign City defender Kolo Toure. The paper suggests City are looking for a £3 million fee for the Ivorian and quotes Ertugrul Saglam, the Bursaspor manager, as saying,
"We have been in talks with Kolo Touré over the past two days – it would be one of the most important transfers to be completed by an Anatolian side.
"Obviously nothing is certain until he signs pen to paper however, we are working hard to try finalise a deal."
After selling Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva to PSG, Sky Sports News reports that A.C. Milan may look to spend some of the windfall by renewing their interest in Carlos Tevez.
The Manchester Evening News suggests that while Milan may be interested in Tevez, a move for striker Edin Dzeko is more likely with the Argentine's salary a potential stumbling block.
The potential transfer of John Guidetti has been one of the Summer's slow-burners with any number of Italian and English side being linked with the Swedish striker.
The M.E.N. reports Guidetti’s agent saying that Lazio, Fiorentina and Sampdoria are interested in the player after his successful loan spell at Feyenoord last season.
City play their first match of the Austrian pre-season tour tonight against Saudi side Al Hilal at the Tivoli Stadion Tirol in Innsbruck. Goal.com provide a handy guide to the game which kicks off at 7pm local time.
