The usual post match analysis of last night’s goalless draw is to be found this morning with a few different takes on the result.
Various media outlets claim it puts pressure on both the Blues and their manager as they seek to defend their Premier League title.
“Mancini’s frustration this season is deepening,” claims Malcolm Folley of the Daily Mail.
“He endured a tough day at the office. And tougher days beckon, beginning with the visit of Ajax on Tuesday night.”
Others however go a little bit easier on the champions with The Independent’s Miguel Delaney putting a slightly more positive spin on the result as the Blues continue their unbeaten run in the league.
"City remain undefeated and that is no mean feat,” he writes.
Elsewhere, the Daily Star on Sunday suggests that Roberto Mancini is to hold talks with City’s new director of football Txiki Begiristain this week, with discussions over Brazilian star Neymar high up on the agenda.
“The Manchester City boss will pick the brains of Begiristain on his former club Barcelona’s links with Neymar,” writes Paul Hetherington.
“Mancini will discuss his next transfer targets with Begiristain and he indicated that Neymar - linked with a £32million move to Barca - is the type of player he wants.”
