City keeper Joe Hart has admitted he was responsible for conceding the equaliser which deprived England of all three points against Poland in their World Cup qualifier.
Wayne Rooney had put the Three Lions ahead in Warsaw, but the hosts equalised when Hart came out to punch a corner only to be beaten to the ball by centre half Kamil Glik.
“I came and didn't get there and the lad did a decent header,” the 25-year-old told the BBC.
“It's my fault. I should have punched it or stayed in goal. I didn't do either and it cost us.”
“They were knocking on the door, but it was never going to open unless there was a mistake.”
Turning to more domestic matters and Barcelona have allegedly warned City to forget about signing Sergio Busquets, or any of their players for that matter.
It comes amid speculation that the Blues are planning to make a bid for the midfielder when the transfer window opens again in January.
“City want the Spain star to sort out their problem midfield area – and it has also been revealed they asked about the availability of Cesc Fabregas,” writes the Daily Star’s Paul Brown.
"But Barca president Sandro Rosell has now hit back, accusing the Premier League champions of trying to destabilise the Spanish club."
Rosell said: “Manchester City want to remove our players and want to destabilise us. It also happens with Arsenal, who come knocking for youth football players and offer them a lot of money.
“Now City have joined in. We are the enemy to beat.
“There are a lot of people who don’t want us to win.
“But we must be calm – Busquets is another example like Messi, Valdes, Xavi, Puyol and the rest.
“We have great players and they are 100 per cent Barcelona.”
