Roberto Mancini has heaped praise on West Brom and their manager as the Blues head for the Hawthorns.
According to the Birmingham Mail, the City boss believes the Baggies have been the stand out team in the Premier League so far this season.
“Mancini believes today’s opponents Albion have been playing the best football in the country,” the paper claims.
“Mancini hopes his players quickly recover from their international exertions of the past fortnight to get ready for what he expects to be a challenging trip to The Hawthorns.”
Mancini said: “I should say many compliments to him (Albion boss Steve Clarke) because he has done a very good job.”
In this moment, I think West Bromwich is the team that has played the best football, so for us it will be a tough game.
“It is always difficult, this game after the international break.”
Elsewhere this morning, there are reports that a City scout has admitted Atletico Madrid star Radamel Falcao is on the Blues’ radar for January.
“Falcao is a player who could make a difference to Manchester City and may be their top target in January, according to the club's chief scout,” claim Sky Sports News.
“Falcao has enhanced his reputation as one of the finest strikers in world football since joining Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2011 and is reportedly now being coveted by a number of clubs.
“While Atletico insist they have no intention of selling the Colombian in the New Year and are confident he will stay, Manchester City chief scout Carlo Cancellieri has indicated that he would like to see a deal done.”
If we were to take a player in January, we should take Falcao.
If there are any movements in or out of the club this winter, we will be first to let you know here on mcfc.co.uk.
