The analysis of the battle at the Bernabeu makes way this morning for the various assessments of Arsenal’s upcoming trip to the Etihad.
As the Blues prepare to host the London outfit, City midfielder Gareth Barry has urged his side to rediscover the form that made them champions.
“It has not been an ideal start to the season,” the England midfielder told Sky Sports News.
“We finished last season with a great defensive record.
“This time we are scoring a lot of goals but conceding at the same time. I am sure as the season goes on it is something we can work on.
"We have started pretty steadily in the league, undefeated. But this game against Arsenal is massive.
“They are a great side and we have got to try to continue our fine home form."
“People said to me before the game it was a brave decision by the manager to pick him, but I don’t think it was brave – he just has belief in him,” Platt told The Manchester Evening News.
“We were a bit under the cosh in the first half in Madrid but we have to learn from things like that.
“We can’t dominate football matches week in, week out.”
Finally this morning, the Daily Mirror have picked up on City’s first Google Hangout, which will take place before the game against Arsenal.
“On Sunday, City becomes the first side to give supporters the chance to grill a top club official about players such as ace keeper Joe Hart, or talk about tactics ahead of kick-off,” writes the paper’s Graham Hiscott.
“Ten handpicked fans will go live online at Google+ Hangout for the pre-match chat.
In the Third Half hot seat for City's home clash with Arsenal will be Gunners and Blues old boy Patrick Viera, now soccer development guru.”
